Modulation of the gut-brain axis by probiotic supplementation in an obesity mouse model

We study the biochemical mechanisms that underlie the interaction between metabolic and neurological diseases. One of our research goals is to identify strategies to combat the impact of metabolic syndrome in the brain. The present collaboration project will test probiotics developed by Probi AB for the prevention of brain dysfunction associated to obesity and metabolic syndrome.
