Our goal is to introduce new audiences to modern big band music. The proportion of big bands playing original music in Sweden and especially Skåne is low and that is the void Vidar Orchestra wants to fill. By also playing newly composed music, we want to attract a different audience than those who mainly listen to traditional big band music. Recording the music and releasing it on disc and digital services is essential for spreading the music.
