The goal is for the students to acquire extended subject-specific knowledge and at the same time develop their collaborative and generic research skills through active participation in research. The project can also create the opportunity to gain insight into whether research can be a future career and can inspire topics for future thesis which can serve as the key to the job market. In addition, the students are trained in leadership as they can act as mentors to future VIP students.
