In order to rapidly diagnose conditions raging from pregnancy to COVID-19, antibodies are being used for detection. However, antibodies have many limitations, such as being expensive to produce, having long lead times, being unavailable in larger quantities, having difficulties binding a variety of targets as well as being sensitive to changes in temperature.
