The IV bracelet is a concept bracelet that will be used in healthcare. The bracelet ensures that tubing, with e.g. blood or medicine, stays in place during intravenous treatments such as dialysis, drip or blood transfusion. The bracelet has brackets for different kinds of hoses. Today, tape is used to secure the tubing in intravenous treatments in order to prevent the risk of needles being pulled out or damage caused to the blood vein. Tape is a disposable product and not as reliable as it can, for instance, easily come off. It may irritate the skin of the patient and in some cases even cause dermatitis.
