Every day I see patients who die prematurely or lose quality of life due to low blood pressure. A PVC that can be placed quickly and safely yet deliver large volumes of fluid rapidly would save lives and preserve quality of life for patients surviving critical illness. Difficulty establishing free venous access in patients with low blood pressure is a global problem. The aim is to solve this problem by creating an expandable PVC.
