Twice a year millions of birds perform spectacular migrations often moving from one continent to another and back. How birds select in which direction to fly during migration is still largely unknown. Traditional methods to study the orientation in birds are still mostly based on manual methods. The purpose of this project is to surpass the limitations of old manual methods by leveraging new digital technology and to foster new discoveries pushing forward our understanding of how animals migrate
