Zero-Energy Greenhouse

Alnarps Foodtech Economic Association

The development of greenhouses has more or less stood still the last fifty years since the energy used to heat them has been cheap and fossil based. It may be likened to cars that have not seen development since the 1970s and which run on several litres of petrol per kilometre. The zero-energy greenhouse will reduce energy consumption by 40% compared to traditional greenhouses, with no impairment to production.

Design of plants with increased photosynthesis and carbon dioxide fixation

Per Kjellbom

The overall goal of this proof-of-concept project is to verify that we can design plants with increased photosynthesis and increased carbon dioxide fixation, which would be welcomed since carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere are on the increase.
